My daughter is 13, average/thin weight and average height, but it's about 3" above her knee (Size 16). Runs a little large in the waist also, but the belt helps (although the belt has only one setting, it's not adjustable). I did feel it was worth the money, though. Most importantly, my daughter loves it.
