The first reviewer said it was a knock off, but I would have never known since I never saw the real one. I think it's soft, but thinner than regular hooded sweatshirts (I'm comparing it to russell). It's thin like a hane's sweatshirt. I really like it and was thinking about buying another one but they raised the price. It used to be $12.99. Once the price gets lower to when I purchase it, then I will buy another for sure :)But to tell the truth, it is rather small. I am barely 5 ft at 98 lbs. The bottom of the sweatshirt can be pulled to the upper part of my butt, but it tends to go up to my hip. I don't recommend this for taller people unless they like smaller sweatshirt. Updated (after 1 wash) I washed this sweatshirt and hang-dried it. The print of this sweatshirt had faded quite a bit.
