Since the outlet store where I bought it, and a few other London Fog designs, is now closed, I was not sure of where to look. Of course I ended up looking here on Amazon, as this has become my favorite place to shop for everthing from brake rotors for my Passat, to things like this parka, and am glad that I looked here. I was not sure what to expect because I don't typically buy clothing on line, but I trusted Amazon and London Fog and the similarity to my old green LF parka, and was not disappointed on any level. I saw this coat on sale and I wanted something new so I bought it.Pros: removable inner liner, hood, and pockets...lots of pockets. I tried it on and it fit almost perfectly having bought the large size. There was a label that was attached when it arrived that said it was water resistant but I haven't tried that out yet. With just the inner liner, I still stay warm even at just above freezing. I probably won't need the outer shell until it gets colder or it's a gusty day. This jacket is much warmer than my two hoodie jacket/Letterman jacket hoodie system I used for the past few years. Another benefit I was looking for was something that really isn't bulky and this jacket does fit that bill. I will no longer feel crapped in the cab of my truck, even while wearing the outer shell. As if this was for a very "round" and short armed man.The warmth was good, and the build quality was fine, it was just way to boxy and big, despite being to short in the arms. The picture is not actually how the coat looks, and I suspect some augmentation took place at the photography studio. Like they sinched the back with clips or something, because in the picture the coat looks more "slim line" instead of the bulky, dull fit that came with the coat. I returned this coat, not happy with the size. |
